HOW EACH COLONIAL TIMES KIT IS CRAFTED

The people at Colonial Times have been manufacturing the finest quality clock kits for over 30 years, and although
technology has changed over the years, our meticulous attention to detail has remained unchanged.

We begin by selecting only the finest quality kiln-dried hardwoods such as: ash, cherry, and walnut.

A dedicated craftsman carefully machines each case component to exacting specifications to ensure a flawless fit.  Particular attention is paid to consistent grain patterns and wood colour.

• Case parts are then pre-drilled and precision mitre-cut for you.
• Then, under the watchful eye of a craftsman, critical components such as the door, door frames and gables are assembled using ultramodern joiners and presses.
• On some of our models, the timeless art of hand-carving is evident in the crown and base panels.  The master carver spends many hours ensuring no two clocks are the same.
• After a final inspection, the kit parts are carefully packed, along with the necessary hardware in specially designed cartons.
• You do not require any special woodworking skills or tools to assemble one of our kits.

We do the difficult work for you.  All that is required is a fine hand sanding, assembly with common tools and stain the clock to your taste.  We also sell our production grade glue and our own line of stains .
